Hey. So, I have to read Romeo and Juliet for school. Yes, the tradgedy of 2 starcrossed lovers. Ah, Shakespeare. So, we are reading it scene by scene together in class since some may not understand what is happening. Well, after getting by the first act I am starting to understand how Shakespeare's language. So, today in study hall I did one question from my study questions homework for the first act and then decided to read ahead. I have read the first 2 scenes of the 2nd act and have been able to understand mostly what they are saying. Also, since we are reading it out of the textbook, it has footnotes on the side to explain some of the more complicated phrases. I asked one of my friends today if I was the only one reading ahead and she told me I'm not supposed to read ahead because i can't understand it and i told her it was too late because i already started reading ahead. How does she know what i can and can't understand and since when did reading ahead become bad??? I am one of those people who likes to read by themselves and not read aloud in a group. I like sitting alone and reading. Plus, I am not reading Romeo and Juliet because I am a person who usually reads ahead, I am reading ahead because I am interested in this play. Its different from anything I have really read. So if you are looking for a good play, try Romeo and Juliet. Or, if you don't want to take the Shakespeare root, try the Hunger Games. GREAT BOOK!!!!! I still need to read the sequel. Well, when there is something more to blog about I'll post again but until then adios!
I almost forgot! I watched finding nemo in spanish today in my spanish class! Yay for English subtitles!
